Andrew Ayers’ gritty organ and keyboards tie everything together. Andrew Ayers sings lead on most songs, but his true love is playing the keys. Although he loves piano, he is strongly influenced by the raw organ sounds of the 70’s and 80’s is drawn to jazz and New Orleans funk. Andrew has sat-in with some of the best know talents in the region.
Affectionately referred to as a “jamming band of high schoolers pumping out 80’s hits,” and “teen sensations” by Mobile’s Lagniappe Magazine, Stereo Dogs is an emerging rock band with incredible talent. These 17 & 18 year-old musicians are dedicated to providing an intense and enjoyable rock and roll experience to their fans as they play originals and covers to rave reviews. Their momentum as a band accelerated in 2015 with the release of their first CD (self-titled “Stereo Dogs”), and their spin on classic rock always stops viewers in their tracks!
The band was founded in 2012, but came to fulfillment with its current members in August of 2013. At that time all of the members were 13-years old and they started playing at regional venues on a regular basis. With an interest in traditional classic rock the band’s love of 60’s, 70’s and 80’s music spills into their originals, which tend to make transitions from explosive old school rock to a series of funky cut-time rhythmic phrases.
Expect a raw rock and roll show with unexpected injections of funk and jam-band spontaneity. Plug In! to the Stereo Dogs!
